Honeybee Garden
How can we help the bees? And why should we?
Task
1. Research the issue surrounding declining honeybee populations. Find out:
- What is happening to the honeybees?
- What do scientists think the cause is?
- What might happen because of the decline in the population?
2. Find out what types of flowers attract honeybees.
3. Plan a garden that will attract honeybees. What types of plants will you include?
4. Create an educational board for visitors to the garden that contains the following information:
1. Discusses the honeybee issue and what you found out from your research about honeybees.
2. Explains why sexual reproduction is important for flowers. What are the advantages of sexual reproduction?
3. Contains your plan for the garden.
4. Includes an explanation of why you chose each plant for the garden.
